About OptimonPro

Who builds the list, what it costs, and every change made to how it ranks.

What's the catch?

The list is free today. A paid tier may come later, and it would be announced in advance. There are no broker kickbacks, no affiliate links, and no paid placement in the rankings. "Pro" is part of the name, not a paid plan.

Model changelog

Every change to how the list is built, with the date and the methodology version it applies to.

  1. Sat, Oct 10 · version aa9e0b597b0f

What changed: Replaced the flat 5% earnings adjustment with an earnings-risk model and made the Steady list exclude contracts whose earnings window overlaps expiry.

Why: Earnings premium can reflect jump risk, so a small fixed deduction understated the risk and could reward the same event exposure it was meant to control.

What you'll notice: Steady removes earnings-overlap contracts. Event-aware analysis measures strike-buffer coverage against implied and historical earnings moves and records the full breakdown.

  2. Fri, Oct 9 · version 9d343f604e3e

What changed: No change to how contracts are scored. Added Skip earnings (on by default for Steady), past earnings moves next to the cushion, and a published table of every weight and minimum on the Learn page.

Why: The list was full of earnings plays while the Learn page said those trades were removed. They weren't: they keep a 5% score reduction. A first look at two days of lists suggests that option pricing which includes the earnings event accounts for about 12 percentage points of the top 20. That is too little data to change the model yet.

What you'll notice: Steady now hides trades with an earnings report before expiry. The published list is unchanged, and the Learn page describes what really happens.

  3. Wed, Oct 7 · version 9d343f604e3e

What changed: Settled the launch configuration that every published list has used since.

    Why: End of launch setup.

What you'll notice: Lists from this version onward are comparable with each other.

  4. Tue, Oct 6 · versions d464678528c2, 02ff7968a0c4, 1cad518e0d31, 247d056ae198, 6a3618b7eaf2, e3ad7e5eb2ab

What changed: Several configuration changes while the site was being set up (Oct 6–7).

    Why: Launch setup and testing.

What you'll notice: Lists from these versions are kept as published but labeled as setup-period lists in the record.
